Loved this pod guys! Makes a lot of sense. I disgreed on Guendouzi and would've love Scott to give us some stats as I feel he didn't have the transformative contribution Hertha had hoped for when they loaned him. You where so spot on about selecting an elite first eleven. The fact he we haven't heard one positive message from the Bundesliga and, like ie Xhaka, many fans disagree on him, for me it's clear he will never get there. So for me it's about skills, not attitude. Worldclass players win you games, we haven't had enough of them.

It would be good if you had someone to challenge your squad-building opinions. A lot of the ideas are good but are born from a sports environment without consequence, there is no option to just reset and trust the process. 76ers Fan.

Van persie was 10 times the player Guendouzi will ever be. Guendouzi is not athletic enough to be in our team, constantly looks for free kicks and puts us down to 10 men when doing so, his top skill is his footballing brain which is 7.5 out of 10. I feel this needs more parameters around it. Easy to "sell" half our squad on paper and likewise buy a new X, Y, Z. Would be good to hear a discussion with caps: for example, can only sell 5 players and can only buy using proceeds from those sales plus a budget of 50 million. Would still have assumptions on prices but at least gets a more hypothetical scenario out there.
