Newcastle (a) - Instant Reaction

Elliot, Clive and Paul talk Newcastle. First they cover the protests at Old Trafford, then a bit on the front 3 for Thursday. Of course there's headlines, stock rising and stock falling.

The only power the people ultimately are afforded is the power of rebellion. If a system is broken and is built by the ultimate beneficiaries at the expense of the masses then it’s reasonable to take action.

Endorsing violent protests just because you personally agree with the idea that you’re projecting onto the group of protesters is a very dangerous road to go down. No one protests because they think they’re in the wrong, even in the Capitol building incident. Is a police officer nearly losing an eye and the Sky pundit crew nearly being hit a flare and a bottle acceptable just because some rich people wanted to do a thing that slightly less rich people weren’t happy about? The whole outrage over this super league thing is becoming ridiculously hypocritical. There’s disparity across the whole footballing world and people like Gary Neville doing the same sort of things that Trump used to do just because he’s worried about his Sky contract and investments in Salford City and Hotel Football is an absolute joke and should be condemned just as much.

I’d absolutely vandalise a place of worship if the clergymen were taking all the alms for the poor for themselves while using the beliefs of its congregation to wash themselves in righteousness. I’m not religious, except for football.

Sorry but need post one more thing. You talked about onwers and protests. Is it me or is that no body is mentioning about Levy and I don't think spurs fans did any kind of demonstrations like Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea fans. Is that they are all non English and levy is a ln English owner? If English billionnaires are not willing to put in their billions in saving the heritage then why blame others. I don't see any London billionnaires queuing up to buy Arsenal and making fans a part of it. You still need a Daniel Ek, Dangote or someone else come in and take Arsenal and Hand it over to fans. Hypocrisy anyone

Elliot , come on you guys. You do a complete pod for an hour on a game and don't even mention Elneny once. Talk about blinkers and having an agenda. Here is a man who is always mocked and vilified, scores a super technical goal from a skewed shot from Auba with the ball spinning all over , shapes his body amazingly well and control volleys it on the bounce wide of the keeper perfectly. Mind you not sending in row Z. Worth not mentioning even once in the entire 1 HR 5 mins and 39 Sec. Completely unfair to an honest no nonsense admittedly mediocre player. Hey I don't make any bones about it I am born mediocre, lived Al my life in mediocrity and will die one but never pretentious but sincere in all my efforts. We need people abd team players like that.

This injury might mean that David Luiz has played his last game for us. I’m weirdly gonna miss I’m him.

I think I we should go all in on Thursday with Saka at LB, Auba up front, Pepe, MO, ESR plus Xhaka and Xhaka

Elliott, one of your best moments on the pod period, in the first part. Excellent work as always, gentlemen.

How many points did we have to lose to rev Pepe up from a 7 to a. 8? Not sure I agree

Excellent conversation fellas. Would love to see Smith Rowe over Ødegaard at the 10 on Thursday. He’s our guy and Martin is not impressing right now. COYG

ESR > MO''

Everyone keeps mocking Elneny but he is consistent , knows his limitations and plays accordingly. There is no pretentions , arrogance but plain sincerity. Id take him anyday because I will know what I will get from him.. another solid performance

Elliott - As a fellow American I can understand your problem with the violence at ManU. Especially as a resident of your hometown where it really all went wrong. I think the stadium invasion was totally wrong and was a kin to writing graffiti on a church at which you worship. Arsenal fans did it right, and did it classy. If that your ideal, I am with you.
