Mini update is out!

Got something done at least, a short story involving Emily and a new date for Flora.

Winter is finally over, which means I'll be able to really push forwards and be a lot more productive in the spring.

A small update will be out when I can.

Winter is a rough time of year for me, and a lot of unpleasant stuff has just stacked up to prevent me from really getting anything done properly this month.

Billing paused again.

Due to being sick this month and having bad burnout right at then end, I just wasn't able to get everything together, I could rush the next few days and get a small half-finished update out, but I really don't want that.

I did manage to reach my overall code/organisational goals for the month though, there just wasn't much in the way of "content" this month. So rather than release an update with a bunch of placeholders, I decided it would be better to just pause billing.

I felt it would be better to not release a quick rush job this month and work on producing something with a bit more content next month instead.

April Update is out!

New update is out! 2 stories for 3 characters, one for Flora and Himiko, and one for Alex! Not a huge amount of content, but I'm quite happy with the amount of art I've gotten done for this one. Hoping to expand these stories more in the future! These have been added to the archive version for now, planning on resuming a more hub oriented format with the May update.

A kind of summary of my plans for the update, stuff is mostly coded, just lacking art and integration. So I'm putting up a quick summary of the planned features going forwards and what they will do. It's nothing exciting, but I figure it is better than radio silence.

Not a lot of content or anything, but I want to make sure things are set up properly for future updates before this one comes out. Don't have a specific date in mind for the release yet though. From now on I think I'll probably just make it "Sometime during the month" since people are no longer being charged on the 1st.

I just came up with a way to overhaul the game and make it more engaging and interesting, but 3 days isn't enough time to redo everything, so I'll be pausing billing once again.

January Image Dump!

A collection of images, mostly sketches. I'll be aiming to upload one of these sketch dumps every month, so there's always at least something going forward. Most of these are unrelated to the game, I sketch a fair bit, but I always feel like it isn't "good enough" so I rarely share them. I'll be aiming to change that this year!

Suffering from massive burnout (billing paused)

As many of you have noticed, I've just been struggling to get anything done these past few months. I'm planning on diversifying my patreon a bit, and maybe rebranding it, adding more content other than the WGDS. It might sound counter-intuitive, but diversifying the projects I'm working on will help keep the WGDS healthier, keeping me more motivated to work on it. Pausing billing for the next month.

I just feel like there isn't enough content to justify a full update right now. It's mostly date content for a few characters, no wg or tf scenarios, so if I give it an extra month I should hopefully be able to get the skeleton of the new system fully sorted. Things will be much more streamlined and focused on the "dating" part of the dating sim (while still having plenty of wg and tf content!)

Payment Paused for October!

This update just isn't working very well and it'll probably take far too long to fix it. Time I want to spend working on the October update.

So since I missed the pausing billing for September, I'll be pausing it for October instead. Sorry about that!

I'm very excited for my plans for October, so it'll be both the October stories and all of the coding content I've been working on in September. So things will run much smoother, there'll be more to do AND there'll be some fun...

I want the next update to be a little more comprehensive and I just won't have time this month. My main goal is to get everything running much more smoothly, and that involves a lot more thorough bug testing than I currently have time for. You won't be charged this month.

This update doesn't have a lot of new content on the player side of things, but there is still a first date with Roxanne, and a new scene with Sunny. Most of the work was behind the scenes, getting things to go smoother for future updates.

Back!

Back after my month off, feeling refreshed and keen to get back to things. I'm going to start taking days off during the week (or weekend I guess) to prevent burnout. It sounded counterintuitive to me at first, but taking a bit of time off each week allows me to be more productive with the work time I have.

My main focus for this month will be to make this dating sim function more like a dating sim, instead of...whatever it is now. Choose your own adventure, maybe?

1. Reorganising the hub system so it flows better and feels more interactive rather than tedious. It might still feel a little half baked and lacking options, but future updates will expand locations the player can visit. The main goal is to set the groundwork properly.
