Elliot, Clive and Paul give their headlines, stock rising and stock falling, as well as attempting to explain what a Runar Runarsson is. There's also Mustafa content.

You have to pay the remaining of their contract off in full including all potential bonuses if you’re gonna do that

Can we legally “cut” a player like a US team can? Just pay off Mustafi, Ozil, Sokratis, and let train on their own?

When is arteta’s stock going to fall?

There is goong to be a clear out at the end of the season and it almost seems that the players are playing accordingly (playing for themselves). Papa, Ozil, Mustafi, Kola, Luiz, Laca (1 year left end of the season), Eddie (1 year left at the end of the season). A lot of players with big influence in the dressing room that are seeing the exit door. With others maybe looking to follow suit Xaka, Ceballos, William. We will have a completely different team in the next few years and this year will be forgotten. This is the time that the board should back the manager, not the players that are looking for an out.

And don’t let them get away with the BS of Saliba not being in the squad or even in the 1st team thinking he was on the bench against Leicester, where his mate Fofana was rested to play in the league. Are we meant to believe Saliba signed for us knowing he would spend his first year in the u23s

I was genuinely gobsmacked at the performance Lacazette put in, honestly disgraceful, but gets 75 minutes. When Kolasinac did everything in his power to not put Balogun through on goal he basically made Baloguns decision to leave for him, hopefully we can get a buy back/sell on fee clause... who am I kidding

I very much liked Elliots stock falling point about Elneny, and the holier than thought attitude about players and think the very same logic should be applied to managers. We should have got Mourinho when we had the chance.

If Runforyourlifeson ever plays in the first team again then I’ll just break down and cry.

Players ‘walking’ on the pitch isn’t a always a huge problem, Highbury used to collectively moan at Henry for being lazy... and he actually was! ... but he knew when to use his energy.
As a striker myself who’s too old to do much else except focus on end product, i save my energy for ‘explosive’ moments that get goals. I’m a traditionalist, but i’d rather the defenders defend so the attackers are free to attack whenever and however they feel they can create chances or score.
I feel like our tactics are contributing to a wasting energy, e.g sprinting after the long ball from kick off is unnecessary energy use Vs a leisurely stroll and a bit of possession followed by explosive running when needed. I feel like every player has to work so so hard for Arteta’s tactics to work... the change management process is just too extreme for the players/anyone to be able to adapt this quickly. This project is still 18-24 months away from becoming really effective, so all we need to do is just make sure we stay in the premier league and Arteta’s job is secure

I beg to differ. He was lazy and walking and jogging. Take the goal that started with a bounce off of him... As a coach, and having watched him walk and lope back down the field, I would have yanked his ass that very moment.
He has a history of lazy intermittent play. He's the laziest of the Arsenal youth and should be sold in Jan if possible. At least get him off on loan to try and get him some time on the pitch and make him sellable, because right now, with the exception of a few good goals against lessor competition and a few tackles, he sucks. He's so lazy I have no idea how you people can possibly say "played his heart out". What, a Grinch sized heart?
I judge potential in youth players year in and year out. Willock doesn't have it. Potential, maybe, effort levels, no.

There's a difference between pointing out correctly that a player is not of starting quality for Arsenal and piling on them for things that aren't their fault, and I think this strayed a bit into the latter with Willock. He tried today to do all the things that we've been wanting Arsenal players to do, basically just take initiative, play his heart out and, run and progress the ball. Yes, he's not good enough to compete with a City midfield, of course he isn't, but he's not a bad player to have in the squad, and there's nothing good that comes from criticising a player who actually tries, and doesn't hide and who isn't the problem. It makes me wonder if Arteta should 'play the kids' (I say kids, I'm literally their age) because if they'll just get piled on for not being Premier League quality when it's ridiculous to expect them to be, that can't be good for them. P.S. really enjoyed the pod, and Paul made me laugh a few times, so thanks!

Like I said on the arseblog discord, and like I've been quoted on before. "there is not an Icelander alive or dead that is good enough to play for the Arsenal." But given how things are progressing, which is not Rúnars fault. There might eventually be some!!

Stop protecting a player who has never ever shown anything. A nothing player.
Furthermore, Fraser Forster needs to be the first name on that January shopping list

Please stop piling on Willock. It's OTT and just stale. We know he's being used as a filler and we know he may not make it but it's just too much.
