NEW SERIES: How to Survive Friday the 13th

Krupa and Gav here to tell you all about an exciting new project we’ve been working on for the last few months… How to Survive Friday the 13th

Did you know there are two Friday the 13ths this year?

Did you know they’re exactly 13 weeks apart?

There’s absolutely no reason for you to know that. It’s a little quirk of the calendar that happens every now and then. But we thought it was a great opportunity to do something around one of horror's most famous and enduring franchises: Friday the 13th.

During lockdown we recorded Up the Creek, a niche podcast celebrating our love for the BBC mystery series Jonathan Creek, and a couple of years later we evolved that into Halloween: The Definitive Companion, which saw us rewatch every single Halloween movie.

How to Survive Friday the 13th is the next evolution of us talking about things we love. Think of it as the Charizard of RKG podcast series, and like Charizard it’s much bigger in scale.

Similar to those other projects, we’ll be rewatching every instalment in the Friday the 13th series, with episodes being released weekly in both audio and video formats... but this time the series will culminate in us flying to the US and staying overnight at Camp Crystal Lake on Friday the 13th!

We’ll be documenting this amazing adventure in a special video that will debut on Friday the 13th of December.

But until then, we’ll be carefully rewatching every film in the series to learn what to do from its resourceful survivors and what not to do from its reckless victims.

How to Survive Friday the 13th debuts on – and you may have figured this out already – Friday the 13th of September. That's this Friday, with new episodes being released every Friday for the next 13 weeks.
