Absolutely loving the Pendulum chat recently. Speaking of Pendulum and National Anthems: They did a remix of the nightly ABC News theme song that is a straight up BANGER. 10/10 would make that the Australian National Anthem.

The first 3 are actual sporting events: when New England won over the Falcons in the Superbowl mentioned in this episode (sorry Rory); the Malcolm Butler interception on the goal line for the Patriots to beat the Seahawks in Superbowl XLIX, and the David "Big Papi" Ortiz grand slam that let the Red Sox beat the NY Yankees in the ALCS in 2004. But the one that hits the hardest is sports adjacent. After the tragedy of the Boston Marathon Bombing in 2013, David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox gave a speech before the next game at Fenway Park that culminated in a statement that is giving me chills to even type: "This is our fucking city!" Nothing beats that for me.

As an Englishman who isn't the biggest fan of the Royals I would also love a) a different English anthem that I can sing to support my country without banging on about a bunch of rich irritants and b) a separate GB anthem (as that just makes sense). Never sing the national anthem at sports things but just feel weird awkwardly sitting there and would love one I could get on board with.
