On the whole generations chat, I think it's the greatest generation for those who were born before WWII because they're the ones who went on as young adults to FIGHT in WW2. The silent generation were the ones afterwards (some born during WW2) who maybe just got on with post-war life without complaint. The lost generation were born before WW1 and fought and died in WWI and are referred to by Gertrude Stein
