After discussing the idea with the client I suggested that I would add a small speech bubble to include a third character related to the story/scene here, which gave me the courage to exaggerate the perspective and expressions in a cartoony way. It took me a few tries to figure out the composition that would portray the emotions and personalities (it usually takes me more time in 2-character pieces to make those decisions) but having the speech bubble there actually helped me with kind of showing the direction. I just knew I wanted to place it in the upper right corner kind of metaphorically putting pressure on the other character so I started building the picture from that idea!
