Page 9 Inks & Flats
Added 2024-12-02 06:31:59 +0000 UTCI'd REALLY hoped to flat that background for you all too this weekend, but gosh, it's gotten late and I have an early start tomorrow, so it'll have to wait.
I hope all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a lovely few days! I did a bunch of driving across the state to see family, eat food, and then you know, more driving the day after. Exhausted in all honesty, but it's good to put in the face time with some of the fam. Hope you all had some good moments too =)
Inks shaped out pretty well I think! I saved the Judy Butt for the end, and it gave me the most troubles; not so much the BUTT - but the arched back. Especially the Judy short-jacket-drape, IMPOSSIBLE to figure out. Nick's legs also needed some redrawing; the stuff I'd drawn in the pencils just wasn't looking right. BUT I think it's shaped out? It's all looking pretty good to me. It feels like a fun page.
Just so it's obvious; a bunch of the pairings of Judy and Nick are out of order in this inking; I think it's supposed to be 1, 3, 2, 5, 4 (just swap the order of everything on the right). ALSO, a bunch of the art here is over-drawn; I'll be cropping nick and Judy a bunch for the final page. I wanted to draw them fully in specific spots because I think they'll make for great single panels. Hope you don't mind me putting in the extra effort on some of these; since we'll not be seeing these by themselves for much longer, I really want to give it my all.
