Look at what I got done =D
OKAY so this one LOOKS ambitious and you are probably rolling your eyes at me as I write this, BUT, I'm dead set on making those first 2 panels silhouetted-character backgrounds; NICE AND SIMPLE. I'm also thinking panel 3 will be a little more subdued, with the characters just disappearing into the background a bit. Panel 4 will require a bit of effort, but half the panel is the side of a train, which isn't crazy - this should all be doable :D. I'll see how it goes.
I 100% forgot to check the monorail-backer-folder for this; So I might still yet dial in some of these characters to be cameos. I just gotta remember when it comes time to inks. My apologies.
Originally page 9 was going to be more of them moving through environments, as we got them form A to B. But I think I've given up on that idea. Now I think I'll just smash cut to Judy or Nick knocking on Owen's door, and sharing a word before he opens up. I don't think it's laziness, just... practical: I can't spend all of 2024 rendering zootopia down to its last brick.
I've got zero ideas in mind for the layouts of the pages between the door knock and the sexy stuff. Maybe a moment when we see through Nick's sunglasses-shaded eyes? as he removes his shades to see them smooching? I dunno... I want to keep the pages feeling fresh and fun, but the in-between-sex scenes are always tough for me to visualize.
I'll try to find some time to sit down and dream up/read some comics in between and see if there's any inspiration to be had. Talking of which, does anybody have ideas for what Owne should wear? I'm thinking of a white tank top and some shorts? Casual and sexy at the same time?
ALSO 1000% low-key heads up: I've been seeing a few friends get kicked off Patreon recently. I don't think I'm in danger, as I try to stay within the guidelines, but who knows. I do draw some fantasy furry dongers. I absolutely love this platform and have no dreams of leaving it. That being said, it's worth letting you all know that I exist elsewhere in addition to here! Those are such cute ideas =D I'm already locked in tho. Also, I decided to NOT make it obvious to the passerby; just because I didn't really want Nick and Judy's play to be involuntarily applying their kink to outside people who may not have wanted it. I sort of think, for his very first outing, everything is just between them; all the teasing is private. I really should have drawn some one checking her butt out =D I wonder if it would have been too distracting on the page? Dunno....

I think there was a shift at some point where this company became a little more focused on growth and increased profits, and that 's when their base of indie creators started to become less and less important. STILL, I can't get away from your early point too. JUST how remarkable this site is, for even existing, and the work they've enabled me to explore. I really 1000% wouldn't be making this comic without it. Anyyyyways. I think pacing-wise - the transition could do with one more background and space to breathe? But, gosh. I feel like I'm taxing myself and everyone's patience. I need to dream up a layout for the next few pages; I really haven't got a good clue what the 'entering and getting to the sexy' looks like yet.

Could have Nick comment on how things are starting to feel tight and perhaps noticing others are getting turned on by her as well. Just thinking out loud though. You've been doing a great job forever and I'm sure no matter what you choose it's gonna be hot!

On the one hand, the fact that this even exists is amazing. 20 years ago only a handful of furry artists were making any real money, and even then, even between major commissions and "portfolios" (man remember those?) most of them weren't really paying all their bills off it. There was just so little infrastructure; it was hard to find people, hard to distribute high quality stuff, and hard to pay for it. People used to send MONEY ORDERS through the MAIL so they could get sent a CD in return. Now I, and a bunch of other people can, with a few clicks, seamlessly pay someone to draw a comic where Zootopia characters cuck each other. Fucking wild. But on the other hand, all of this can just go away, without warning, whenever the powers that be decide to make it so for whatever arbitrary reason. Imagine if the rest of the economy worked like that. Oops, your bank account got closed. Oops, we turned your water and electricity off even though you were current. Why? You violated an obscure clause in the water company's TOS that never mattered before last tuesday. Are we going to elaborate? No. Are we going to give you chance to remedy? Fuck no. You just don't get water through pipes anymore. Obviously this is a bit melodramatic, people need water to live and function, they don't need furry porn. But they DO need to be able to make a living, and online platforms just don't give a shit, whether Patreon, Paypal, Youtube, Gumroad etc. It's illegal to, for example, shut off someone's electricity in the middle of winter, even if they aren't paying their bills. We really need something similar for online services where people are providing for themselves. Platforms have the right to make whatever terms they want (within the law), but they should be required to give HUGE advanced warning before cutting people off, allowing time to reorg, regroup, financially prep, reach out to followers etc. This "boot people on a whim" thing was fine when people were doing this stuff as a hobby, but we're long, long past that at this point. But if wishes were horses as they say. The way things are these days, I'm just glad basic society keeps functioning day to day. And glad that, for as long as it lasts, I'm able to pay a talented artist to tell the tale of a fox becoming an increasingly well-trained cuck. On a less serious note, this is looking great! And yeah, I won't blame ya at all if you do a liiitle bit of a skip so you don't have to do 3 more super detailed backgrounds.

I think the sucky part is that they don't let you send a message to backers after the fact! I'll be plenty verbal if I ever make the switcheroo. But I'd hate to do that - I quite like it here =)

As STOKED as I am to get our bun back into her bull’s hands, I have LOVED these train scenes. You can see the effort and care put into every single page. Thinking back to the OG exterior shot in Ties That Bind to.. any panel from the last few pages, just insane. On a side note, Imma miss Judy’s outfit. I’m sure Owen will love it as much as we do but don’t see it lasting very long once they get there 😂 oh well, you’ve given her a whole wardrobe of em to dress her up in next time 🤭🤭
