Ties That Bind - Page 21 -Single Panels

Here goes! Single panels for page 21.

Even in separating them into their own illustrations, I still felt the need to use big color splashes to let the character pop a bit more strongly. So I put together a few alternatives.

Disappearing this weekend to spend some time outdoors with non-furry friends! I'll bring my tablet, but I'm not so sure I'll be able to sneak in any penciling while out there. Maybe I can just pencil the background or something; it's one BIG single-panel piece, so maybe that'll be fine to work on. I'll see how it goes.

Legit, feeling so damn excited to do the bonus illustration too. I think I'll share some of the WIP of it with you all, and then save the final version of that bonus image JUST the higher tiers! I dig the idea that limiting who get to see that, is something Owne would do =D

After this next page, I'll move into the QnA, which I've honestly been scared to start writing? I feel a bit bashful about it - I'm not sure why? Maybe it feels a little daunting of a task.

So far I feel like it'll start with Judy sneaking out of the bedroom at night because she can't sleep/still too amped from the night before or the day ahead, and whipping the laptop open to do some impromptu QnA's. A few choice questions about how her feelings, their marriage, and then maybe some 'where she thinks this is going' or what she's hoping for next... I imagine having Owen in their lives is challenging her picture for the future. Finally maybe capping it off by having her do a request for 'chat'.

I'm also debating playing with my art style a bit for it. Maybe using a looser-inked line? For something more fluid and softer feeling? One of these days I'd love to practice my hand at some painting again to get some of that QupoStuv-style into my art.
