FINALLY done, and ONE PAGE LEFT TO THE CHAPTER=D
Ok. So. I went too hard on these haha. You can tell because, if you look at the background work I drew up in the WIP's and compare it to the final page, where it's barely visible... It's sort of telling: I overdrew too much and went so hard on the individual panels that there just wasn't space enough to jam it all in.
Heck just compare it to the previous pages...
That all being said; these will make for such great individual Single-panel-illustrations =D I can't wait to put those together hopefully tomorrow.
Really appreciate the patience on this page - Lessons learned; I gotta plan a bit better and not go 110% on every panel!

Thank you, that's really informative, I really appreciate you sharing, and the idea of treating each panel as a single illustration probably also helps it feel less daunting, as you can probably focus on each goal post, instead of a single overwhelming page/project

2023-08-03 20:55:45 +0000 UTCSure! My process starts in Photoshop, where I like to rough out the design and layout and consider the balloons and spacing. It's also my preferred place to collect all the reference material. Then it moves onto my tablet and clip studio; which feels much better for me to physically draw in. I try to give the drawings their own space, and over-draw; so I have lots of room to move things around later, and gives me cool single-panel illustrations to share. I also like treating each panel as if it's an illustration so that I'm going maximum effort into it. Then when the art is done I bring it back to Photoshop - add things like curves and gradients; before moving them all around and finishing out the file with balloons and sound effects. I like my process but it IS slow. Honestly, there's no perfect way to do it all - find what works best for you and just build on ti =D

2023-08-03 19:33:21 +0000 UTCTrying to start making comics myself, I'm genuinely curious how you take your half finished, and final pieces and end up assembling them together into the final page, it looks like your process has them all very separate, I never would have thought to do anything other than assemble and draw everything in place first inside the panels. Also what software do you use? I've heard fantastic things about CSP, but I haven't taken the leap and left PS CC yet.

I'm aiming to do a QnA chapter next; those are usually faster, and rougher, but give me an opportunity to take a breather and try new stuff out while building out the world or tackling things that aren't in the core-chapters. Then I'm aiming to start a Chasity Cage chapter =D
