Quick update, fallen behind! WIP inks/flats

I got caught up in other people's drama at IRL work last week, and it sucked up so much of my oxygen and spare time. I think I'm gonna clean up this resume of mine soon 0_o, or even start seriously working on getting Ama into a full-time-sort-of deal.
I need to run a survey or something soon, and get more data before I try something like that tho! The dream would be to make... twice as much here? But that's bonkers. Would be prettttty cool if I did this full time tho; I used to look at the artists who'd made it in the past with such envy! =D
Progress on the inks: So I think I'm also to blame here a little... if you compare these inks to say, the inks of page 1 of this chapter, these are SO much better and tighter, and... time-consuming. I think my eye for detail has improved, but it also demands MORE time to lift my ink's to the level where my eye feels happy with them. The reality is; for both of these panels - I shouldn't be going SO hard on them when they only take up X amount of space on the page.
I keep sort of justifying it to myself, that they'll be amazing single panels, and that this IS the last few pages of the chapter (so go as hard as you can!) ... but still... more than a week to get 2 panels of inking done? That's excessive!
It'll be good to move into the QnA stuff soon, and practice my hand at 'doesn't need to be perfect, aim for fast' pages; help loosen my bolts a bit.
Hoping to only need another couple of afternoons to finish these inks.

Maybe less content for cucks, but every once in a while, an exclusive treat. I'm sure your imaginative self could come up with so many fun things.

2023-06-13 18:18:46 +0000 UTCYeah, you get to see how the sausage is made =D A lot of time when something doesn't seem right to me, I'll go grab a reference image or a screenshot, and then draw it in the gutter somewhere, to help me problem solve. You'll see me do this a lot with faces and hands, or in this case - Judy's twisty torso. This is usually stuff I try to nail down in the pencils, it's why my pencils look crazy busy, but sometimes even in the inks, I'm still problem-solving! It's also one of those things that I ought to be getting better at with time and practice. So many expert artists just... have these things in their brains, and don't need so much reference.

2023-06-13 18:14:29 +0000 UTCFrustratingly, Patreon doesn't let you bump up prices like that! You've got to create whole new tiers and such. I think it's to stop malicious-creators with bad intent, forcing supporters to pay more. The way to do it is to 'make a new tier' and then poke everyone to move over. I *could* create ALL the tiers at once (pure chaos) or just iterate on one tier and think about integrating another update further down the line or something. I think Patreon should have a universal 'inflation bumping' scheme or something. To help keep ALL tiers and Patreons inline with the value of a dollar.

I Think you should think about a bump for the bull tier as well... I mean, that would be a whole lot more content (of ever increasing quality). I won't mind paying bit more for your awesome work! And I mean, if the content increases with the price, am I really paying more? Just be careful not to burn yourself out and still take some time for yourself!

I've got to put a poll together soon, and see what the actual vibe is. In my head: - I'd remove the $3 teir - $4.20 hotwife/partner teir would be the new bottom - $6.90 bull teir would stay the same, but now get the occasional extra/QnA-questions/votes/polls and such - I'd add in a $12 teir for the TRUE cuckolds ;D Who'd *of course* get less content than the other tiers...

Because those faces took a giant amount of iteration - I'm super happy with them now, but it was a little more time than expected. Yeah, for the QnA, maybe I just do pencils? Like I did for the hourlies? I had fun doing that style, and it was pretty fun and flowy.

There are benefits for everyone with that, if you can make it work - you would get to dedicate more time to that detailed linework and your storytelling, and everyone here would get to watch you grow even more as an artist. Not to imply your work needs improvement at all because it's amazing, but it would be fun to see just how high you can fly!

2023-06-12 18:15:24 +0000 UTCIt's definitely tricky sometimes trying to balance quality; easy to get "stuck" in a certain mode and either be pushing yourself way too much or a bit too little. But you're able to catch yourself, which is good. I'm sure you'll get a balance on it with time. Shifting to Patreon more is a big deal, freelancing has its own issues. But as long as you do it deliberately and with a bit of planning I think there's a lot of potential there. Certainly look forward to seeing more from you though, whether it's at the current pace or a bit sped up.
