Ties That Bind - Page 21 - Pencils!
Added 2023-06-02 23:40:20 +0000 UTCI might be a little slow to reply until tomorrow - I only just got home from some quick travel. But I wanted to post the pencils I finished up on the trip!
What-on-earth. This is a whole lot of penciling! I think some of it is super good and some of it feels like could still be improved. One million and one studies and gutter drawings, based on references of all kinds. Trying to nail faces, Judy's body, and all the interactions.
The second panel was especially tough for me, and I think it was my own fault - I wanted too much from this panel: I wanted all their faces, a messy butt, Judy rotating her hips... and it was all feeling so tough to draw in and get natural looking. Ultimately I started using hands and legs to cover up the worst crimes.
