Ties That Bind - Page 8 Finished!
Added 2022-04-18 17:35:08 +0000 UTCWe made it fam! I finally finished the page yesterday =D You all have been so gosh-darned patient - thank you, as ever for all the kindness and love you send me here. It truly means the world.
Taxes hit me hard this year - not so much in the cost, but in the amount of time, I had to put in to get it right. Why is it so touuuugh? Just let me pay what's owed dang it!=/
How'd the page turn out? Pretty decent I'd say! I'm feeling proud of pretty much all the panels. The first panel helps connect the last page to this one - we get a big look at the window while Nick monologues. The Owen face in the next panel took work to get right, but I'm pretty happy with that gaze now (the early sketches had his lower eyelids riding high, which in turn just made him LOOK high af ;D ). The 3rd panel feels like a gem - really proud of that one. And then the final panel is just fun - I'm a sucker for a close-up, and I managed to reuse some of the previous art to fill out the background, which made me feel super clever for it. All in all a winner. I feel like the flow's good it's; not too packed in, is just the right mix of horny and hot and the visual balance feels good - a solid page!
I did waste a ton of time at the end battling word choices (which I included for you to peek at). I wanted to get the points across, but sometimes the language felt 'off' and not right. Getting it to feel naturally spoken is sometimes so tough. So I'd make changes, reach out to folks for thoughts, let it sit for a bit, and make more changes when I was ready. A frustrating final part - butttt I do think it's stronger for it.
I'm so dang excited to dive into the nexxxxxt page! Hope you are all too! I'll make sure to drop you more frequent updates on this one =D I'll also post single panels of this page, in the next day or two, and heck I still need to give you all the updated script! So more to come this week I think.

I especially love your attention to detail. The expressions, the lighting…each little snap shot works together to really make the characters come alive. Somehow you’ve managed to capture the sexual tension, the building anticipation, and the care and trust they have for one another, all in this page. Not to mention do it in such a spicy (*cough* utterly arousing *cough*) way. I can’t tell who’s more excited for what comes next: Nick, Owen, or me lol.
