Do you guys LIKE getting Chapter Scripts?

Short little poll for you classy as-heck higher tier supports.

I was talking with Meesh about potentially changing up my Patreon (if the layoff hits me), increasing the post rate, working on one page at a time (instead of batches). And he brought up how it was strange that I share my chapter scripts ahead of time! His point being that holding back on that stuff keeps the mystery and excitement up! I've heard from some of you that you try to stay away from spoiled during the WIP process too! So I get it, buuuuuut also, I like writing and sharing that stuff?

So I wanted to get your inputs!

Comments

No please don't share less. I love watching everything as it evolves and being able to chime in when you ask for opinions.

That's great to hear! Honestly I'd just try it out and see what works best... You could post WIPs just as files, to avoid them poping up for those that don't want to see them.

Fen

I've no idea! I don't like the idea of sharing LESS - I love getting your inputs! So whatever I try out I'd want to keep it so we can still engage with each other!

Amadose

Personally I enjoy being along for the ride... sometimes even helping you out and giving ideas... I guess if you go full time and one page at a time, the pages will come faster... so there will be less WIPs per page?

Fen

If I didn't throw it at you with every update - and flagged it when I do - it might be easier to avoid spoilers. I think that's what I might try next chapter.

Amadose

It might even get you more feedback as the patrons get pencils, then the flats, etc. and different ideas fly around without the "official" words.

Retromancer

For me, I try to avoid the scripts as much as possible because I do want to see the story unfold, but when it's presented I can't help myself because it's like peeking at your christmas presents, except instead of disappointment, it's A+ cucking to look forward to.

Rickochet

That's what I'm thinking too! Next chapter; the great experiment ;D

Amadose

I have to say, I like getting the script at the beginning then seeing how it changes with each iteration. But I don't mind the idea of sharing the script at the beginning and then no script until the final, and I actually voted for that. Might make sense to do it next chapter to see how it feels, you can always switch up when you are doing the flats for example if you think it isn't working for you

Retromancer

Does he release a script or thumbs nice and early then? Im not a backer of his atm.

Amadose

Right? The back and forth feels collaborative and helpful (even if I don't make changes, it helps keep my brain fresh! )

Amadose

I like the idea of one page at a time, so you wouldn't be so saturated by having to do all the pages at once, that also includes the mystery of how the other pages will look, it's like Zaush's style, you make a chart with the wip of all the pages and then you do each page, one by one, so you keep the mystery of how these will look.

Sharing the plan here is kinda like a round table.. I believe I have seen some comments that worked into the story or changed the path a bit

A Mad Man with a Box

I like seeing the really rough suff, but save the more detailed scripts till it's actually complete and posting it with the finished page. It's nice to see how it starts then seeing the process later.

Presto Squesto

I partially agree with Static, but at the same time I would like it if it were a secret. Maybe even just keywords per scene perhaps? Like the stuff that'd really hit you?

Walter Denny

You could make the wip stuff an optional thing that you can opt into

Tigerchris

Right? It can be fun to see how I have to edit or change to fit!

Amadose

I like the scripts because it is exciting seeing how you draw around it.
