Added 2020-07-13 17:43:36 +0000 UTCSorry for the slow down this past two weeks guys! I've been feeling a bunch of burn out with my regular jobo, which has dampened the ol libido and drive to draw. Then this page and the next one have been feeling super tricky for me! Sometimes it's the pages you least expect that give you the most troubles =/
Folks keep telling me to relax a bit - that the comic is supposed to be something I do for fun, and that I shouldn't put so much pressure to deliver in a timely fashion. But I suppose that's the double-edged sword of running a Patreon! I get to have some lovely engagement and support from you guys (which I love and am so thankful for) - but it also injects pressure to deliver! I'm sure I'll figure out a good balance at some point.

The bottom of this page put me through the wringer. I ended up dropping all the little Nick and Owens because it was all getting so visually noisy! Anyways, I think all the fiddling came out well in the end. It's maybe one of my fav panels so far in the comic.
The next page - now THAT is giving me troubles. The internal x-ray bit is feeling super hard to incorporate into the page, and I don't know how to color it well =/

2020-07-16 12:49:17 +0000 UTCI love the concept of the marking though he will need to mark nick too so everyone will know that she is cucking nick not just cheating lol, hope that you dont get too much pressure your work is too good to ruin by forcing it, some times you might just need to put a place holder on a difficult piece and get the rest done and maybe that will give you a better view of how to tie in the difficult bit (sorry for the pun)

2020-07-13 19:02:17 +0000 UTCRight? I wish I could have made them work. But it just made the panel so chaotic. Thankfully - not hit by a car =D Just creatively slowed down for a week or so. But that's just how it goes. It's like an up and down wave graph. Sometimes your bursting with ideas and momentum, and other times it slows down. I think a lot of people who to be imaginative on a scheduling struggle with it. It's not something you can just boost up with a good meal and a sleep, you know? I'll figure out the right rhythm eventually =)

2020-07-13 18:43:42 +0000 UTCwonderful page. i do miss the little Nicks and Owens just cause it visually said the smell was different but i do agree with it cleaning up the amount of "noise" in the shot. i know what you mean by job burn out. (some days its so hot i can barely do my job) much less relax right. if you need a break from working on the comic just let us know. I've heard some stories of other projects dieing cause of lack of communication, not that you have far from it in fact. i do now when some of the people i follow go dark i do worry they have been hit by a car.
