I got to run around the square in my hometown with my friend Jordan and be his first practice dummy for photographing human beings. He's been playing around with a camera for a few months now, taking shots of nature and buildings, but he wanted to photograph a person before he leaves for school in Japan. I think he did a great job! Naturally, I had to include the goofy pics too. There's a healthy mix of serious and sloppy, unprofessional me in the sets I'll be sharing.
I really love this cemetery. I used to walk around in it all the time when I was still in college. I would hang out in one particular grave site with stone benches and walls with poetry engraved on them (I think from Emily Dickinson?). I know it sounds so emo and cringy, but it was my go-to spot to decompress and find peace. It's especially pretty out there during the sunset.
When we were finally wrapping up and going back to my car, a jogger was watching us and told me that I looked "so fucking cool". I looked at her and said "thank you", and she responded with "no seriously, you look so good. You look so fucking cool", and it was the highlight of my day. Of course I told her she was pretty too, I mean she had a fit physique, red hair, a pretty face. Was she hitting on me or being nice?? I COULDNT TELL! But she stood in one spot to watch me walk from the graveyard to the parking lot so who knows.. lol
