My fav. part was definitely all the combination of quirks of the 1-A students. Sero and others really got to pop-off. I haven't watched movie 3 and 4 yet, so looking forward to watching it with y'all when the time comes.

The big spoiler was the fact that Nine tried to steal One for All from Deku, and couldn't, and then said "I didn't have enough slots for every quirk" hinting toward Deku having 7 quirks, and then outright saying "this boy has the potential to hold multiple quirks."

I want you to think about what you identify as "canon," despite what anyone says. If this huge story had any plot relevance at all, then it would be. But it doesn't. At all. The other two people before me in this thread said it well enough that I don't need to elaborate. But these events don't happen in the manga, and you never need to watch any movies to understand missing plot information, except for the existence of Melissa. Sorry, but I think everyone should know this; because I love the movies, while knowing all of it is essentially an AU.

They are not. This is a side story. It clearly took place after season 4 but Endeavor didn't have the scar on his eye from the Nomu. If it was Canon, Endeavor was going to have the scar. You can say that the two kids actually exist in the story, but the events and the fights in the movie are not Canon. It will be very disappointing if it was Canon because at the end Midoriya and Bakugo were using their legs at 100% over and over again to move fast but they were not broken. But it's not disappointing because we all know that it is a side story so it's acceptable.

They are canon but at the same time don't really impact the anime in any way and you don't miss any plot that is continued or even mentioned in a meaningful way in the anime. I guess saying they aren't canon is wrong and saying they don't matter to the plot is more fitting.

I really enjoyed the movie, although I usually don't care for non canon stuff. The writing was as standard as it gets, but the fighting was some of the if not the best fighting of the entire series and the team up was really cool. It feels a little bit too much, because some of the behaviour does not fit to the way they act in the anime but it's still really entertaining.

Izawa would be so proud if he saw how they were handling everything right from the beginning! Iida did so well stepping up with no hesitation. The whole class leveled up! Working together so well! You can tell they care about each other so much. Dark Shadow going berserk cause he saw his friend hurt 🥹 And the little moment at the end there, reminding us Shigaraki is lurking. So good!

Also here to say they are canon. They’re confirmed as such, and there are actually multiple scenes that reference the movie(s) but I won’t say what or when. They’re kept to a minimum probably simply for the sake of allowing the audience to avoid the movies if they feel like it without detracting from the plot if all they watch is the show.

So there are actually a handful of spoilers, some haven't shown up yet but would be borderline impossible for you to really pick up on or notice - I'll mention those when the time is right. Movie spoilers that you've seen from S5: Black Fallen Angel - tokoyami flying, y'all pointed this one out. Tokoyami being an intern for Hawks and their bond. Deku's multiple quirks, this in my eyes is the biggest spoiler, since until we see blackwhip there's no way of knowing, whereas nine explicitly says "he has too many quirks for me to steal them all". One For All having a "consciousness", the ending heavily I'm,plies OFA chose to allow Bakugo to use the power temporarily for the good of mankind and then stopped the transfer to keep Deku with it - this isn't shown until Deku has the "dreams" and explicitly interacts with OFA + the actual interaction 1 on 1 with Blackwhip. There are a handful of others that I can't say yet, but those alone are big enough to tell people not to watch until after Blackwhip is shown. I'll say the rest when the time is right. Loved the reaction!

There are so many reasons to love this movie that I could be here all day, but I wanna point out just this one because Carlie was so excited for the Double Detroit Smash. The day Allmight met Deku and Bakugo, he fought a villain who wanted a child's body, changing the weather in a single Detroit Smash, because he was reminded of what the heart of a hero truly needs...a reminder that resulted in One For All being passed on to a worthy successor.

There is actually quite a few hidden spoilers. For example Iida using his new style, Recipro Turbo. We get spoiled the name and use of the move, but they did not change the look of his mufflers. They are still small like the old ones. This is how the movie masks some of the spoilers. I can think of 6 potential spoilers off the top of my head. Over all it may seem overly cautious by those of us who urged you to wait. But I am glad you two chose to watch the movie in timeline order. Thank you.

That was the biggest potential spoiler. Because Carlie and Ange had zero clue what was happening when Black whip first emerged. They thought it could have been All for One's doing, their first thought wasn't Deku using another Quirk of his own. Just seeing the line from the movie "This kid has the potential for more than one Quirk..." could have given them the clue they needed.

It's past 3am here and I'm crying my bloody eyes off and sweating bullets. THIS IS PEAK! Watching this movie again but with you guys hyped me up so so SO MUCH! This movie and movie 4 are my favourites overall. When Ange said "Brothers!" when Deku and Bakugo shared OFA, oh that just resonated within my soul!! I LOVE how much this movie gave us. We got to see 1-A shine SO much in this while still getting a Deku-Bakugo focused movie overall. The animation was peak, the soundtrack was so good. I didn't even mind that Nine was a sort-of carbon copy of All For One, it just made the OFA collaboration all that more impactful. This is a movie where everyone's favourite characters got to shine. You guys are right, this was a more battle-focused movie with still a good amount of story-telling that aided it. It's so well done and getting to see it again with you guys' awesome reactions was just such an incredible honor as an MHA fan (an anime fan in general I should say!) Thank you so so much for this absolutely delightful treat. My favourite reactors PERIOD!!
