True Detective vs Black Mirror

I have reservations about True Detective because THE INTERNET tells me that anything after season 1 sucked tons of ass. I'm not spoiled on the show other than it has a different cast every season, but the sentiment bled through.
I have reservations about Black Mirror because Twilight Zone/Outer Limits shows are by their nature hit or miss. You have great episodes, you have shitty episodes.
So what do you think? Which should I do for Tier 1 to replace Mr. Robot?

Black mirror is hit or miss, and 2nd season of true detective is a miss. The true detective seasons are not connected in any way, so you could skip the 2nd.
