so, the parappa game is evolving into its own all-original rhythm game based off of that cartoon i was working on earlier this year, "villains and us"! the real big surprise of this week though is i went hard at work seriously making music, and learning how to make it, where most of what i was doing with the parappa game was pretty jokey.. i've made crazy progress crazy fast, and made a whole bunch of songs, which you can hear in the above video!
so far, i'm pretty dang proud of what i'd been able to come up with later on in the week! i believe my mastering skills need some work, but the actual melody and stuff of the songs themselves are basically already in place! all the music in the video is explicitly for the "villains and us" rhythm game! most of them are going to have sung lyrics eventually, by myself which is a little intimidating, but it should be fun!
the gameplay of the game itself will be very similar to what i'd been developing for the parappa fangame so far, given it'll be using that as a base, plus i just really like the parappa style and want to see more of it! the art style for the game will be a sort of mix of 2d shapes extruded out to 3d, as seen below! i have these two models made so far, and i'm going to need 19 total, which is a little scary, but these models are pretty fast and easy to make, so i'm not worried!
