sunday WIP stuff 2025 3-23! progress on "villains and us"!

progress has been really good on the animatic so far! i'd already gotten about 4.3 minutes of the animatic completed in the first week out of the target 10 minutes, which actually puts me a good bit ahead of schedule! the clip above is a piece of the animatic for a brief fast-paced action segment as the lyrical segment of "The Famous Polka" by They Might Be Giants kicks in during a chase sequence!

it's all been coming together very well, and has been very fun to work on as its a lighter-hearted project i can do a lot of goofy improvisation on vs "nothing for nothing" which had to be a lot more planned out.. it's a little intimidating thinking about how much animation i have ahead of me if this animatic plan works out, which it looks like its on course to, but my current speedy workflow should help a lot once it's time!

unfortunately though, something came up this week that's threatening the stability of my housing situation, which is really throwing a wrench in the plan of getting the animatic done within a month, given i'll have to redirect a lot of energy towards taking care of that vs getting animation done for the next 2 weeks or so.. i may end up extending the animatic deadline by 1 week because of it since this was a sudden external factor i could never have accounted for. it's scary, but everything should turn out okay!
