after 2 years of toiling away trying to make it work on and off, i'm deciding to finally just shelf 'nothing for nothing' again for a good while, it'll probably be at least 2 years until i pick it up again because every time i try to do something with it, i spend years on it making hardly any progress.. 'nothing for nothing' is actually the same reason it took 1.5 years between uploads last time.
things aren't all gloom, however! this week i didn't get around to the parry gripp animation, instead i ended up going back to 'foxhood' for those who remember when i was showing it off last summer! right now i'm in the process of re-shaping the existing scenes a bit to fit the new faster moveset, and progress has been great so far! i've been having a lot of trouble overall trying to get back into doing full animated videos, so i think it'd be good for me to focus on getting a demo out for 'foxhood' with a loose deadline being "releasing in june this year". it's more likely that it'll release earlier, but i'm keeping the deadline further out so i have more time to polish it up when everything's deemed complete!
i'm generally a lot better about making continual progress and staying focused when it comes to video games these days, since it's a good variety of things to do, so i'm hopeful this will be fruitful! plus, there will still be some silly animation done for the project since all of the art and animation is going to be hand-drawn like i usually do! i'm going to try my best to not dart around between projects anymore, since this one is pretty well along anyways, i just need to finish it up!
