i thought i was pretty much sapped out of all of my animation energy, but out of nowhere i guess i really didn't want to give up, because the day after making last sunday's post i ended up doing the most animation i've done in weeks LOL.. it's still relatively slow-going and i can't do it for very long, but i'm getting back in the habit of animating consistently! it seems a lot of it comes down to mental mindgames, and really i just need to figure out a way to get into a better headspace with animation which im making good progress on so far! ( do note! there's still gonna be the thick outlines around the characters/objects in the end, i'm just saving doing that until all of the animation is done since it's easier to work right now this way.. )
my current plans are to, if i can help it, stick hard to finishing this parry gripp animation, working on destination: the planet mostly for fun in my spare time when i feel like it. I also have an update regarding "nothing for nothing"! i'm pretty burned out on trying to make episode 1 of the current miniseries work since i'd gone up to my third revision, so i think what might be better is instead doing the prequel series first, so it's all in chronological order! this is largely because it'd be something new to do, plus the prequel series requires a lot less of a time sink and would be 100% original (soundtrack included, made by a friend!) so i'd be able to upload it to more websites like Maybe newgrounds without worrying about copyright!
last thing! i've still been making some progress on destination: the planet! the final image above is a screenshot of the entire first area so far! there's still lots to be done between the level geometry and the actual contents of the area, but it's been going well!
