sunday WIP GIF!!! september 25th, 2022
Added 2022-09-25 21:24:05 +0000 UTCthis week ended up not being too bad! this shot's already been inked + inbetweened, i just haven't gotten around to digitizing the frames LOL but i swear theyre there, a fat stack of "to shoot" frames has built up while i figure out a more efficient way to digitize frames
right now i digitize it by putting frames on a separate peg bar, taking pictures on my ipad, then downloading the images from icloud to import to tvpaint but its a pain!! so either im gonna look into a proper "ipad to webcam" app or get a mini scanner LOL, i'm a lot more comfortable dedicating funds to that now that i know i genuinely like animating on paper more than on a screen!
also a mini fun-fact: i did the keyframes in that GIF digitally, so to ink them on paper i just have a peg bar attached to my drawing tablet, that way i can just use the screen itself as a lightbox that i load the frames onto!! and yes that is totally safe! the screen is meant to be drawn on with a hard-tipped pen so it has no issue with a soft brush pen that doesnt leak through the paper i put on it at all!

i just started using paper only recently! its rarer for sure but i've definitely seen other people that still do it at least regularly, its funny because despite the perception of paper animation as some """"High and Mighty"""" thing it really really isn't, its not that different from animating digitally where i and others actually find drawing on paper easier/faster LOL
