much slower week, it's been mostly plentiful though! i spent much of the week improving the ergonomics of my animation setup bit by bit, because the past few weeks of sudden consistent progress made it very clear that i'd end up with a serious RSI (Repeated Strain Injury) in my shoulder and hand if i didn't take measures against it as soon as possible.
the funny images above showcase some of the measures i've taken, like setting up keyboard macros (where some labels fell off, oops!) and throwing together a DIY thick pen grip out of a strip of fabric and a rubber band, not to mention Sawing Off The Arms Of My Office Chair With A Cerated Kitchen Knife and stuffing the cylinder with paper towels so i could be closer to (and more level with) my desk! RSI is no joke!!! any (reasonable) measure to prevent it is worth taking!!
so far all that's worked out great, but this week's sure been far from cheery since in the past few days i found out the hard way that i may have been developing a psychotic disorder all year, recently worsening to very disruptive levels because of extreme stress i endured during May, so that's had me pretty out of commission these past few days. i bring this up since at it's worst it's been severely disabling where i can hardly do anything, which you can imagine was pretty Freaking upsetting to suddenly experience after i was finally able to do really well, having some of the healthiest progress i've had probably ever. (i finally was able to somewhat stick to a schedule with weekends and regular mid-day breaks to prevent pain! may not be the fastest productivity, but it's HEALTHY productivity which is more valuable for myself and the quality/pace of work!)
thankfully i'm recovering from that, having a better understanding of what's going on to where i can better get medical help, but yeah its something i'm bringing up now because if it's the progressive disorder i think it is, it's gonna be a real Problem especially with getting work done. getting good work done feels good!
in terms of this animation's total progress, so far i'm a bit above 57.3% done, given that i haven't updated that figure in a little bit. that number seems a bit concerning but it's actually been great news! namely, the scenes that are left to complete are either almost done, easy to complete, have substantial boards for them, or have substantial key animation done for them!!! not to mention progress seriously picked up these past couple weeks so i've been on a Roll! i originally estimated an August release, but i'll be pushing that back to September as a realistic estimate, especially due to the threat of psychosis disabling me again.
