sunday WIP GIFs!!!!!! + some talkin, march 3rd, 2022

sorry that this one was a bit late!! exporting gifs out of blender takes a good bit longer since i have to render the image sequence + assemble that into a gif using ezgif

im pretty freakin happy with how this animation is turning out!!! i've learned the hard way that i really don't like working on projects unless i feel actively engaged by them, where unless i'm doing something i think is cool/fresh/interesting, i'll generally be pretty demotivated and slow, which can really drain my psyche. i feel like my best work comes from challenging myself on a project in a way that has me caring about it a lot more, so i at least have that knowledge going onwards where i no longer have to get stuck on projects wondering why i'm not enjoying them!!

i guess that explains why after modify all my videos ended up being pretty different from eachother, stupid horse being the most radical of that LOL basically signifying a complete change in art style going onwards, i just don't really like sticking around 1 thing, and i think that's fine! really i should finally just start thinking out "what im going to make next" more thoroughly before i commit to projects. i was pretty unhappy during the making of "episode 1" since i didn't think through the character design much so i wasn't happy with the limited expressiveness that came with a harder-to-pose body type, especially when it came to the character's face which i didn't really map out a defined look for, so their expressions were kind of generic to me, as well as hard to make good expressions for.

i think with that said, whenever i get back around to the miniseries (which i really really still want to do, i'm just being patient with myself since its a large task and the miniseries is now inadvertently fully related to what i went through late last year), i'm gonna be re-doing most of, if not all of episode 1. that sure sounds like a sucky task considering i was working on it for 4-6 months being almost done with it, but i definitely think a complete re-do would be for the best, where this time around i can just straight up make it a lot better and more enjoyable to watch as well as create!
