Gah, when'd it become December? December 13?!
Because I'm clearly *very good* at being organized, I've tried my damnedest to slap together a little christmas 'game' for, ah, Christmas. Ideally it'll be out the week before, or thereabouts! It's a short little puzzle game, easily beatable in like 15 minutes or something I bet, so naturally it's a been a butt-and-a-half to event, because I guess I'm not that good at puzzle-making? Haha.
It'll be a mostly linear sequence, but how the player 'solves' the puzzles will affect the endings... of which there are like five (?) planned... As for what 'solves' means, well... given the primary project, and given the character involved... Yeah.
(Don't know why I'm being so secretive)
This was mostly an exercise in scene eventing and the aformentioned puzzle making, and I think I learned a bit too employ in the main game proper, so that's nice. And the intent was to just re-use the existing sprites I had for Phoebe, but of course I fucked up and ended up making some new spritesets, haha.
This was *supposed* to be a breather from FEF, but it's taken a bit longer than I'd liked, and in the interim my mind's drifted back to FEF design stuff... But that's kind of how creating is, I feel. At least for me. You always want to invent, but once you start actualizing it...
The mind's gone elsewhere, to new pastures. Not necessarily greener ones, but definitely not the one you're trying to finish.
Next post will have the game!
