[Closed] Collecting Short Story Prompts for November 2024

Once again I'm here to ask all of you for short story prompts! I'll take the more popular ones as decided by the number of hearts (or that I particularly like) in the comments and make a poll at the start of the month. The winner will be made into a short story of a thousand or so words.

Not many rules on what you can suggest at the moment. That will mostly be figured out as we go. Besides that, the short story will come out before the end of the next month.

Rules for prompts:

Comments

Story Prompt: Tempting Fate with Chocolate They say to never tempt Fate. What they dont know is that Fate has a sweet tooth.

Rory

Tiny Dungeon: The newborn Dungeon is finally ready to open the gates for its first adventurers to delve it. However it may have slightly underestimated the scale it was supposed to build at by quite the margin.

Rory

A flight across an ocean. Fantastic in nature. A couple fleeing from trouble back home. To supposed green pastures ahead. The sky whale they have taken passage on is attacked by pirates mid journey. The pirates fly using giant white ravens as mounts.

Storyhunter

The Systeme, Created by a now extinct civilization with their star, arrives on earth, not on earth exactly. But on solar system entirely, the only problem is the arrival message [Scanning for local language. Apocalypse system loading. Welcome Mars. In 48 hours monsters will appear. No memory of technology detected, no restrictions applied. Good luck] 48 hours later on Mars a dragon is filmed suffocating by a rover. And on earth no monsters appear.

Immortal noone: I swore my life to a god, bargained my soul to a devil, traded my name to a fae and sold my memories to an Eldritch. I should be dead but now nothing remains for death to collect and I just am, without a name, soul life or even memories. I do not know who or what I am, but I am and for some reason I can not not be. - I think that could be a great start for short story, hope you agree
