[Closed] Collecting Short Story Prompts for July 2024

I'll take the more popular ones as decided by the number of hearts (or that I particularly like) in the comments and make a poll at the start of the month. The winner will be made into a short story of a thousand or so words.
Not many rules on what you can suggest at the moment. That will mostly be figured out as we go. Besides that, the short story will come out before the end of the next month.
Rules for prompts:
No NSFW (Patreon would get testy about that)
No prompts about anything directly related to my current stories (can't be something the MCs would come across)
Not doing depression or similar
You may post previously posted prompts as long as you credit the original person to suggest it if it wasn't you
A part 2 for any short story is going to be rare to non-existent

Story Prompt: Hand of the Author The Goddess watches on as yet another Aspirant attempts to usurp her throne and defy their Fate. None of them understand. From the moment Perspective gazes upon you, your Fate is sealed, your thoughts are no longer your own, your actions serve only to further the Plot. Even the Goddess, for all her power, cannot escape this. After all, she is only as powerful as the Author wants her to be. And the Author has been known to change their mind before.
