Was a good bit late with the NeoRealm chapters today. There is a reason for that. I'm not sick, but my wallet is. Took my car in yesterday for an oil change and complimentary tire rotation, wherein they found out my brake pads aren't quite there anymore (and a brake light was out). Can't exactly leave that to rot, so of course I got them changed. Why this made me late is because the oil change was at 10am which meant I didn't sleep as I've been going to bed in the mid AMs and wouldn't be able to wake up in time. So, the oil change doesn't take that long and I was planning on getting home and getting to bed. Then everything else happened and I missed my chance to get to sleep. I ended up going to sleep, waking up sometime earlier today, but was blarg and then going to bed within a few hours only to wake up again just an hour or so ago. Thus the late release.

Besides that, the car service ended up costing over $600. Which is a significant chunk of change. Thankfully, my mom had set money aside to help with my car when she retired this year. However, I don't like taking money from her, especially not that much so I'm going to try and build up my savings so next time I don't feel the need to give her a call. Because right now I've got enough in my savings to cover a month of rent and nothing else. I'm not going to e-beg for it, but the next few months are going to be tight for me. If only because I don't like how this felt.
