[Closed] Collecting Short Story Prompts for June 2022
Added 2022-05-24 10:39:49 +0000 UTCOnce again I'm here to ask all of you for short story prompts! I'll take the more popular ones as decided by the number of hearts (or that I particularly like) in the comments and make a poll at the start of the month. The winner will be made into a short story of a thousand or so words.
Not many rules on what you can suggest at the moment. That will mostly be figured out as we go. Besides that, the short story will come out before the end of the next month.
Rules for prompts:
- No NSFW (Patreon would get testy about that)
- No prompts about anything directly related to my current stories (can't be something the MCs would come across)
- Not doing depression or similar

I also had ideas for several other gods, like a goddess of fertility whose followers willfully ignore her love for rats, locusts, and other pests. Basically their good side is when they are doing their job properly from a human perspective and their bad side is when they over reach or apply their power in ways that humans don’t like.

2022-05-24 16:58:22 +0000 UTCPaladin of Rot. All gods have a light side and a dark side, but none are as honest about their darkness as the god of Rot, Decay, and Plague. He has very few worshippers other than the occasional brewer or cheese maker. Certainly none who understands his proper place in the world. Until now. A farmer’s son hates the idea of farming, but has always been fascinated by compost. Taking trash and dead things and turning it into nutrients that help plants grow. He decides to pledge his service to the god that removes waste and renews the earth.

2022-05-24 16:47:38 +0000 UTCThe MC hated the idea of God's, and followed a philosophy of a godless moral. He propagated this philosophy to such heights that he became the God of atheism/godless.

2022-05-24 16:24:58 +0000 UTCGuest Lecturer - Muscle Wizard: Due to an unfortunate malfunction of a Teleport circle, the Magic University's 1st year teacher has been delayed by a few weeks. So a substitute lecturer had to be arranged on short notice. Volunteering for the job is "Muscle Wizard", sporting a fabulous moustache and ready to enlighten the students about the 'Truth' of Magic. *flex*

2022-05-24 16:24:40 +0000 UTCNearly everyone is able to use magic. Sure, some people only manage to learn a few useful cantrips while focusing on other things, but they can still use magic. The MC is different, unable to manipulate mana. However, with the use of runes he can at least cast SOME spells as rituals, and so he studies at the mage's college. A random even causes his class at the college to be transported to Earth. Now, normally you would expect Earth to be a mana dead zone or something, and that is why there are no wizards or anything, but no. There are no wizards, because the Mana Density is so HIGH that it crushes any spell-forms that you attempt to form. Luckily, high mana density just makes the MC's rituals BETTER.
