I was planning to ship a second tome of merging and redesign how merging works. The idea being that the second tome lets you reach even higher merge levels in the endgame, but it's not required to beat the baron. I've been figuring out how to convey why merged beasts produce what they do in the UI when you're picking the partners, and also rebalance it so it's more rewarding. But that's requires a new, cleaner formula for the multiplier, which sent me spelunking into some pretty terrible code that I haven't touched since 2014. Anyway, it's trickier than I was expecting.
In addition, I was planning on completing the modding documentation, but that'll have to wait until next month too.
