I'd hoped to have a prototype for the dream infiltration mini-game this month, but it's running long and I'm going to have to pause Patreon billing again. This would've been a prototype of a possible Fleshcult 2 mini-game.
I don't have anything programmed yet. I've been paper prototyping with a deck of cards and a spreadsheet, and I've been steadily writing dream sequence scenes. Turns out you really need a lot of these to capture the unpredictability of dreams.
At first I thought maybe it's a snakes-and-ladders maze of dream sequences, and you're navigating to find the one you want to pervert. But whatever I did, the maze was annoying. I definitely don't want to advantage players who break out pen and paper to map the collective unconscious. That's not sexy!
After that, I made it randomised, like you're channel surfing looking for a dream with the kinks you want. I've been trying to find a set of resources that I like: doors, coherence, lucidity, intervention juice? Hmm, in any case, I'm not going to spend an undue amount of time on this, I'll pick something and knock something out in February.
