[!] Patreon Status and Situation

Heya everyone

I got some updates and news.

Let's start with this:

The latest Fusion work got denied again and this is already an edited version I made to comply with the guidelines. I don't think I can adjust this release to fit the guidelines without changing the story. Because of that, my latest Fusion work won't be available on Patreon.

The situation with my latest Fusion work reminded me however to look for alternatives or possible ways to not encounter this problem. I think we all can agree that the TSF Genre is filled with a lot of scenarios that fall into a grey area, especially if we're talking about consent. How do you consent to a Body Swap that accidentally happens when falling down the stairs?! How could you apply the idea of "no consent" in a fictional TSF work to a real world situation?

To escape from this, I asked others, researched a bit here and there and found one solution that I believe would fix this in the most efficient way.

To explain in further details, from your perspective, not a lot would change. You still pledge through Patreon, you still pay through patreon, but the full posts, images and files won't be included in the Patreon posts, instead there will be a link to my own website which in return will host the content instead. There is a plugin that allows the Linking of Patreon and the website. This means you can log in to my website with your patreon account and view my content if you are supporting me.

With this change, the world would open up for me. Of course, content such as CP, Guro and other ILLEGAL content is still a taboo and it should stay that way. I could release darker stories. I wouldn't be bound by the rather strict and unflexible guidelines from patreon, which obviously don't work well with TSF content.

The problem with that would be, of course, the costs for running my own website. The hosting services I found allow NSFW content and are quite cheap, all things considered. They also have enough storage for me to upload my works there. The big cost however comes from the plugin I need to use to link Patreon to my website. That's the most expensive part from all of this. Of course, it would be a small price to pay if I can have more freedom to express myself and my stories.

How would it look like if I implement my solution?

• Supporters need to login to my website with their patreon account to view the content.

• More freedom in projects, darker stories for example are possible.

I also found some alternatives to patreon, however there is always a catch:

• Subscribestar - Doesn't have Paypal and there are tons of people using paypal

• UniFans - I have no idea about this platform, I don't know if this is legit or not

• Ghost - I have no idea about this platform, I don't know if this is legit or not

• make my own - Yes, I could make my own Patreon alternative, but the logistics and everything would be a lot. I wouldn't even be able to promise that everyone from all over the world could support because of payment processors.

The irony is quite something here. I'm talking about patreon alternatives ... on patreon. Of course the first solution I mentioned would be the best option. Patreon still gets their cut, they are not liable for the content I upload since it's not hosted by them and I can create more creative works.

This would be quite a big change for me, so I would like to ask everyone here for their opinion. What do you all think about this? Seriously, consider commenting, sending DMs or other things. I need opinions and ideas about this situation. I'm not satisfied with status quo on patreon and I believe you all feel the same. If there are questions, ask them. I'll try and answer them.
