15/10 Update
Added 2025-10-15 20:50:44 +0000 UTCA little bit of a lull over the last few days, as I was off travelling again, this time a 'boys' weekend with some buddies. Good curry was had, a few beers consumed, and the world was set to rights multiple times.
Back to doing some writing tonight - progress continues.

Yay! I'll be waiting to see how the chapter progresses... As far as curry goes, the hottest food I've had in a restaurant was in London, getting their Tandoori curry. (I was in the UK for a month, during the semester break one year.) I'm REALLY glad that I decided against getting the Vindaloo, since I never would have been able to finish it. They had an even milder variety, too, but at that time, I was living in southern New Mexico, and most of the Mexican food I liked there was pretty spicy, but nowhere NEAR that curry. For some reason, I'm reminded of a line from "So I Married an Axe Murderer", when Mike Myers's character goes to a butcher shop and picks up an order of haggis, and the butcher (a woman, and his character's romantic interest) asked him if he liked haggis, to which he replied no, it was for his parents (both Scottish) and then said "I think that Scottish cuisine is based on a dare." I suspect that what with the Raj and the return of lots of British soldiers from India, is responsible for Indian cuisine in London being an adventure.
