MinnMax Spotlight - Keeping EverQuest Alive, 25 Years Later

Last month we debuted our new series MinnMax Spotlight by taking you inside Panic and the Playdate in Portland, Oregon. This month, the MinnMax Spotlight is on EverQuest and the studio that's kept the legendary MMO alive for 25 years!

The better this video does, the more opportunities open up for MinnMax in the future. Watch and share the MinnMax Spotlight on EverQuest here - https://youtu.be/_18ZFndAzWU

I (Ben Hanson) have a soft spot in my heart for EverQuest since my friends in high school became obsessed with it and we had a blast creating fan films about the game. So it was a real thrill to engage with the ground-breaking MMO by traveling to San Diego, California and spending a couple of days with its lead artist Kevin Lydy (who designed EverQuest's logo) and the head of Darkpaw Games/EverQuest 1 and 2's executive producer Jenn Chan. It's a nice reminder that there are incredible game development stories everywhere you look, these folks have been dealing with systems and code set in place 25 years ago and releasing an expansion every year. Hopefully MinnMax Spotlight's raw format lets you share that excitement, we're proud to provide unique content like this in the gaming space.

As we mentioned as a possibility in the last Spotlight post, this MinnMax Spotlight is sponsored by the creators of EverQuest Daybreak Game Company. You can jump in and play EverQuest for free or get a subscription. Pick up where your old character left off or start fresh and get ready for the 31st expansion releasing in December called The Outer Brood. https://www.everquest.com/home

As always, keep the feedback coming in about the MinnMax Spotlight. We'll continue to dial in the formula in the future, so let us know what you think. Thanks for supporting MinnMax, this is only possible because of you!
