Submit Your Question For The MinnMax Show Podcast
Added 2020-05-05 21:50:13 +0000 UTCThis week's episode of the MinnMax Show is going to be a bit different. First of all, we're recording it on Thursday so that we can cover the Inside Xbox event on Thursday morning (so it won't be in your Patreon-exclusive feeds on Wednesday) AND we'll be streaming it live on our YouTube channel on that Thursday as well to ensure that it gets out in time.
On this episode of the podcast, we'll have Ben Hanson, Jeff Marchiafava, Suriel Vazquez, and former Game Informer intern Jill Grodt. It's your turn to make the show better by leaving a question, topic, or anything else for us to read on the show as a comment below! We’ll choose our favorite and iam8bit will ship out a great prize for the winner! We'll stop pulling questions around noon Central on Wednesday.
On this episode of the podcast we're planning on talking about...
- The Inside Xbox gameplay reveals for the Xbox Series X
- Assassin's Creed Valhalla
- The summer roadmap of gaming reveals

I might be to late with this one but here is my Question. I'm locked down with just me and my pregnant wife. JeffM had a great board game session last week but I was not totally sure if they were all 2 Player fun or if they required more players. What are the 2 Player Board Games we should be playing now? Keep in mind no Monopoly, as that can only be enjoyed drunk. I'd rather play games we both can enjoy it.

2020-05-07 20:02:20 +0000 UTCDo you think they'll ever start remaking the old Assassin's Creed games in the style of Odyssey and Origins? Would you play them?
2020-05-07 14:00:08 +0000 UTCHey Ben and the CLC's, With Gears Tactics having a positive reaction thus far, I thought about having other series take a dive into a wildly different genre. What if Civilization turned into a base-building/musou style game as you progress through history? Or take a Platinum style game and slow it down to being a turn-based/menu-based combat experience. What game series would you like to see try a different genre? I have a game for you guys. I will list two to three tracks from the soundtrack. You will guess the game. Ben, you can add the composer too if that will help. 1. The Girl in the Tower; Doors; Will the Circle Be Unbroken; Gary Schyman 2. Blue Fields; Roses and Wine; Timber Owls; Nobuo Uematsu 3. A Yearning for the Sky; Kwolok's Hollow; Shriek; Gareth Coker 4. Get Use to It; Mine, Windbag, Mine; Build That Wall; Darren Korb 5. Bustin' Chops; The Gates of Shambhala; A Rock and a Hard Place; Greg Edmonson Answers: Bioshock Infinite, Final Fantasy VIII, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Bastion, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

2020-05-06 21:46:44 +0000 UTCHi Ben and Cloud Loving Cohorts, I am currently listening to your FFVIIR Deepest Dive and one thing came to mind. When Kyle and the crew kept bring up the issue with switching materia were you all using the swap with whole party screen. When you enter the equipment and materia menu you can pres r1 to bring up everyone's currently equipped materia and you can press triangle to select a materia from one person and move over to another slot to quickly change over. I don't think it is something particularly clear, but it made my life so much easier especially in hard mode where I would need to switch things around more often. Thanks for the great content!
2020-05-06 20:35:58 +0000 UTCHope it’s not too late to comment but I was listening to the FFVII Deepest Dive and Ben said he recognized the coin move Rufus was using. Just wanted to say you could be thinking of Erron Black’s Fatality from Mortal Kombat 11 which he also deflects his bullets off a coin into the opposing player.

2020-05-06 19:58:28 +0000 UTCHey Ben and CLCs, Let's say you put a substantial amount of time into a long game, like The Witcher 3, but you don't finish it. You put it down for a few months to play some new games, but then you get the urge to come back to the Witcher. Do you a start a new game, or do you pick up where you left off? Does your approach change if you have put it down for more than a year? Does your approach change if you were halfway through the game vs. about 75% through the game? Stay healthy!

2020-05-06 17:32:34 +0000 UTCHey Howdy Hey Hanson and the 'horts, Do you guys feel that video game protagonist have a diversification problem or do you feel it is getting a lot better? Personally, I think its slowly getting more diverse, but strong american white male protagonists are still everywhere! Not only that, but these characters even all sound the same. Quick quiz, which of these protagonists were voiced by Nolan North? I put clips of the game on each one too. 1) Alex - COD: MW - https://youtu.be/WggmaYGFuEY?t=43 2) JD - Gears of War 4 and Gears 5 https://youtu.be/ER3VhU8DNzI?t=9 3) Captain Martin Walker - Spec Ops: The Line https://youtu.be/x07hBBy-uBg?t=417 4) Kyle Crane - Dying Light https://youtu.be/nXLpD2OJLo8?t=420 If you listen to all of these guys, they ALL sound exactly the same. They are all separate voice actors too. The popularity of games like Uncharted have led game developers to strive for this in some weird way. The answer is 3 by the way. What do y'all think, has it gotten better? Will the strong white male protagonist trope soon be a thing of the past? Thanks, Queso

2020-05-06 17:02:25 +0000 UTCA Milk Bradley Howdy from Madison Wisconsin Minnnnnnnnn Maxers (9 n-s)! Have any of you watched that Mythic Quest show on Apple TV with Rob McElhenney? What do you think? I work at small mobile game company and some of the natural conflicts they display between game dev roles are accurate and they cover ridiculous things that really happen when you are handling a live game. (Nazi groups on the server, etc.) Aside from that I think it's funny and well crafted and can't wait for season 2.
2020-05-06 16:46:42 +0000 UTCHello Minnmax Crew, and Jill! I have one simple, nostalgic question for you all.. what's the first video game you can remember playing? May your days be long and ridiculous, Drew
2020-05-06 15:48:11 +0000 UTCHey Ben and the CLCs, The Deepest Dive on the FF7R is coming to a close and I really enjoy the passionate discussion shared about a series you enjoy. I’m looking forward to the next Deepest Dive...so, what is it?
