The male lead here, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the son of the master, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab (Ustad means master and Sahab means Sir, and both are added to his name as a sign of respect). Nusrat Sahab was the original artist who performed this song and was a legend! If you enjoyed this, you should check out more Indian classical pieces. The old ones, the actual masterpieces are low quality recordings because of the era they're from, but you'll enjoy them still.
