Commission Timelapse

Instead of fixed prices for half-body or full-body pieces, the cost now depends on the complexity of the work. This particular piece was one of the more challenging ones, but that made it even more interesting to work on.
This time I was given full creative freedom, which I really appreciated. The pose came together quite naturally, though when I’m not fully sure, I usually create a few alternative versions of the same pose.
When it comes to coloring, I usually start with base colors, then move on to shadows and lighting. But here, I decided to do the opposite after laying down the base colors, I focused on the light first, which helped set the overall lighting mood I wanted.
At first, I leaned toward warmer tones, but as the piece developed, the overall atmosphere shifted toward cooler shades. I might revisit it later and try bringing back the warm palette by reworking the environment
