there's def this weird liminal feeling in those sorts of situations, just being alone in a shared space that should be safe but you are very small in what is realistically a labyrinth of halls and rooms with who knows what going on in all of them... I haven't worked in the cleaning services but I've had this feeling both in the various high rise apartment buildings I've lived in as well as in the later hours working at a banquet hall
2021-01-26 15:48:47 +0000 UTCLove it! So creepy. This actually triggers a childhood fear of mine. The trope of the lone cleaning person in a horror film, vacuuming in the middle of the night in an empty building. The fact that they're alone and the vacuum is the lone sound always unnerved me.
