Very good character description of Bill. I couldn´t agree more. :)
I do get your points, I don´t think they are incoherent, but thank you for your summary :)

I agree with your take on the episode. It was a fun, lighthearted way to establish the new relationship. I´m referring to the fact that many people didn´t like Bill back then cause she is bisexual. And for that reason people might have rated the episodes lower than they should be. And yes you people on Patreon are really nice and polite. :) Thank you for that :)

I'd go with the IMDB rating, myself; but I also agree with your summing up. There's nothing wrong with the episode. It's perfectly solid; but not much more than that.

Wait, the last time the Thames was frozen and the Doctor was there, was Rivers birthday, when he snuck Stevie Wonder in to play for her, but Shhh, you mustn't tell him! (PS we never saw that on screen, River said it in Demons Run"

I really like this episode. The emoji "robots" certainly are cute and apparently harmless enough to be even more scary when they start killing people. And we get more of a feel for Bill's character too. Questions definitely are her speciality. She has no embarrassment about saying I don't understand something. Like you said, it is a big contrast with Clara. But of course even she was a bit more naïve when she started out travelling with the Matt Doctor. The later more argumentative attitude (which I liked) was a gradual development.
Once again, I would agree with your rating much more than the IMBD one. I think some viewers were less caught up in the programme by now with a new companion and a new setting. The Doctor as a University Professor and a mysterious vault and a mysterious promise. . Even though the first two stories were fairly easy to follow and didn't require much foreknowledge of the show, I think that some people were drifting away at this point. Although I accept that It's difficult to judge. The ratings were harder to gauge at this stage with more people watching in their own time rather than at the time of broadcast. Personally, I enjoyed the whole Capaldi era more than any other.
I just read that back and it seems quite incoherent. Basically I like Bill, I enjoyed the episode and I liked your reaction.

Not a bad episode, but a bit throwaway I would give it 7.9 I like Bill, (although Clara is my favourite) I think this is a good series. Peter is always watchable. The idea of the emoji robots was cute, but I think the story was just a vehicle to establish the doctors growing relationship with Bill. Not sure what you are referring to about comments etc. maybe it’s a YouTube thing I know we are a polite bunch on patreon. X
