I agree, I think the previous avatars being wiped clean to me is good writing for the next avatar cuz that means the next avatar won’t have the knowledge of the previous avatars except for korra. We’ll see the new avatar struggle and have to figure out for themselves

So That Explains Why He's So Good Out The Get Go. With The Avatar Connections, Remember The Cycle Was Broken So Even Though She's Connected To Raava It's Like The Whole Cycle Was Wiped Clean, Just Like When Won First Merged With Raava. My Belief Is That She Can Still Reach Them In The Spirit World (Like How She Reached Uncle Iron), Because Their Still Individual Spirits. I'm Sure There's A More In Depth Explanation For That. A Lot Of People Are Really Mad About That, Usually The Reason Why They Dislike Season 2. I Personally Love It, Even Though The Connection May Be Severed Forever, I Still Love The Writing, Upset At The Outcome Tho.
