New Show - Info Video :)

Hi everyone, here are some thoughts of mine about the project "New Show on Patreon". It will explain certain issues, and inform you on where we stand at the moment, and where we will go from here. :)

I also did not prefer BBC IPlayer until today, precisely because of the problems you mentioned. BUT today I managed to solve the non-working download option. So the VPN connection is only needed for the duration of the download. And the downloaded episode will definitely not get stuck when you watch it. My the BBC iPlayer Downloads app was installed and one episode downloaded in 15 minutes. You can access the app here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/install After that, you no longer need a VPN and you can use your PC in "normal" mode! Try it please! (If you get stuck using it, I'll help!) https://ibb.co/yPzQGTG P.S.: The download didn't start for me until I paused the episode on the IPlayer website!

Oh, there is already anticipation! Like I said, I am looking forward to the poll and I'm sure I will enjoy the reactions regardless of the final choice.

To be honest I do not count the BBC IPlayer as a safe provider, in terms of reliability. I have to use it with VPN, and it works most of the time. But I´ve had so many issues with it, when it didn´t work, or the BBC IPlayer could tell I used VPN, and connction break ups in between watching. It´s just too risky and too complicated to rely on VPN for a show that I´m planning to watch for months and months. I do not want to have to fight with technical issues every episode. And I don´t want to start watching the show and having to stop watching it in the middle of it, because it just doesn´t work. I´m very sorry, but I can assure you that I really liked the trailer, and the show will definately stay on my list. :) As far as your guessing goes, I wont say word :D :D :D

Thank you for telling me a little more about the SJA. I didn´t say I will never watch it. It just doesn´t feel right at the moment. But considering Dr. Who will end one day, it would be cool to maybe still have another Dr. Who like show to watch. And maybe I´m going to give it a try then. Never say never :)

I´m sorry you´re disappointed about his dark materials and The Sarah Jane Adventures. I may look into TSA one day, I didn´t say I will never watch it. Just not at the moment :) I hope you will find something you like on sunday, and I hope your disapointment will change into anticipation :)

Hi Nicol! I don't understand why you can't watch "His Dark Materials"? You mentioned the BBC IPlayer option once, and the first three seasons are up there! I'm looking forward to the "leftover"... I can even guess the winner: Good Omens season 1, and by the time we watch it, season 2 will be here! P.S.: Of course, if it's not on the list, then there's no chance...

Yes, The Sarah Jane Adventures is a little more kid targetted than Doctor Who, but only slightly so. Adults and teens can still, and very much do, enjoy it, and It's still basically on par with Doctor Who in terms of tone and story, and even tackles some more serious themes at some points. I think it's definitely worth at least giving it a go, perhaps watching the first episode/story to get a general idea of what it's like.

Disappointed about His Dark Materials but I understand the reasons. I hope you do find a way of streaming it in the future. Or at least you get to watch it even if it isn't possible to do reactions. The same for Sarah Jane Adventures. I reckon you will find that they are a bit less childish than you may think. Of course they have child characters and are less scary than Doctor Who but not entirely meek and mild. All that said, I am really looking forward to the poll and seeing the choices. There are so many good shows on offer that I think we will enjoy the new reactions whatever show gets chosen.
