Smack & Snack: Coming Soon

This is the logo for the next Omake Theater webcomic series: Smack & Snack. I'm currently dealing with some internal strife when it comes to finalizing the main characters designs. I have almost the first year's worth of comics written, but I keep going back and forth on the artwork. Shouldn't be much longer before this new series begins.

The salaryman from the previous comic ( https://omaketheater.com/yoikoma/yonkoma-97/ ) had a very simplistic character design. Not much to offer, but I tried to make the most of him.

Being out of practice, I wound up doing the line art for this comic twice. What you are seeing are my lower opacity sketches with the first round of linework on top of it.

My sketches for this one are kind of in between. Originally I had planned to make it full color like a Friday 4Koma, but it wound up taking way too much time. So I decided to make it into a Yōikoma instead.

I have no idea why I was dead set on using a Mayan calendar in this comic, but it took forever to make. The entire comic took 5 and a half hours to make. Over three hours of that was on the calendar.

I would add sketches for the latest Yōikoma, but there are none. I've been so swamped for time between personal matters and my 9-to-5 that I haven't had the time to draw. So, I used panels from existing strips and just recolored them to match.
