I don´t know, judging by what I have seen, the connection between him and Rose was deeper than the one with Martha. At least I did not get the impression (until now) that he might fall for her. But I could be totally wrong here. Since I do not know how everything will continue, I want to be cautious with predictions :D :D But I really liked this episode. It had such a nice feeling to it, so calming and funny at the same time. :) Haha yes I got that one, even if I have only watched 4 movies of Harry Potter. :D

2022-04-08 17:00:54 +0000 UTCI got the impression during this episode that The Doctor knows that, in different circumstances, he could fall for Martha. So he males a point of pretending (even to himself) that he is quite unaware of her interest. Maybe I read too much into things. Maybe I'm biased because I like her so much I can't imagine somebody else feeling differently. Anyway, it's a really good episode I think and the "Expelliarmus" at the end still makes me laugh.

2022-03-27 14:07:07 +0000 UTCYou very reasonably avoided listening to any possible Harry Potter Book 7 spoilers. But it turns out it wasn't necessary for an interesting reason. The Doctor Who episode was broadcast in April 2007. The 7th Harry Potter book was only published later that year in July 2007. The Doctor Who episode couldn't give any spoilers because the writers and actors had not read the book yet. In fact even the title hadn't been announced when they made the episode which is why the Doctor just calls it "Book 7". So, when the Doctor is talking to Martha about the Harry Potter book, we (the TV audience) are thinking "The Doctor has time-travelled ahead in our own time to July and read it. How cool!"
