Figure Drawing: Week 27

HEY GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS!!!

NAKED PEOPLE TIME!!!

I haven’t drawn a guy in a long time and………….. man does it show. Oh noooooooooooooo

The 1s. Muscles are complicated things that caused me to take more time so there’s a lot of disembodied… bodies about here. There were a lot of times the instructor would tell the model to change and I would scamper with surprise

2s! So much…. guessing. There were a lot of poses where he would stretch out and his muscles weren’t as visible which caused me A LOT of confusion on off-the-cuff measuring. Made for a lot of unconfident lines.

The 5s! Otherwise called….. the disaster page.

I got stuck fixing his face in the first drawing for way too long that I didn’t have time to draw the general pose, and I was upset about it because it was SUCH A GOOD POSE. UGHHHHHHHH

I tried to be quicker in the next few sketches and…… well the less we talk about the fourth sketch the better. That’s an absolute embarrassment, look at that tiny short torso and that huge head. Big mistakes in such a tiny drawing.

The 10s! Trying to measure so I wouldn’t make the same mistakes I made in the previous sketch. Clearly focused so much on the pose that I didn’t have much time to do anything else. Male bodies are hardddddddd

Don’t feel too bad about this 20. His head turned out alright but it’s still… eh. This isn’t my day. I like the shading on his arm at least!

Back to the 2s and 5s!! Tried to use shading to help me with eyeballing his proportions. It helped in some ways, but still having trouble fffff

I was pretty okay with the first 5, but the second I was just… guessing ;__; NOOOO

First 20! I feel super good about this, I did my measuring and took my time and the proportions look great to me!!! I like the shading as well! I love this pose, it’s always a fun challenge. PERSPECTIIIIIIVE

WHAT A DISASTER

I took ages trying to make the face look not shit and boy……… was that a hill to climb on that I tripped and fell backwards on. It was technically an 18-minute pose because we were running late. I don’t mind the shading but the head is super boxy. OH WELL I HOPE I GET MORE MASC MODELS IN FUTURE TO DRAW BECAUSE I’M HELLA RUSTY.
