Showdown E2 Delay

Dear Patrons,

one of our goals for the future is to better keep you in the loop with all things happening on JMR. Now is the perfect opportunity, although we wish it was a happier occasion.

E2 of the Showdown is delayed due to technical difficulties. Jelle had a lot of problems with his iMac and Final Cut Pro and earlier this week the Collision Project got corrupted. On Friday, Jelle had the opportunity to go to Henri, our secondary editor, and to use his gear. In just one day, Jelle almost managed to do a whole week of work - Collision is the most intense and difficult event to edit.

Why almost? Well, when he uploaded the Beta version of the event to the JMRC for checking, the committee noticed that the commentary was a few seconds delayed. That was a huge let down, of course, but we decided to not upload the event in that state, because we prefer to delay it a few days and provide the production quality that you all are used to on JMR.

We apologise for this inconvenience. Jelle has ordered a new iMac by now and this will hopefully reduce any delays in the future.
