2024-05-08 02:17:53 +0000 UTCI know I’m not the first person to say it, I but I PRAY that you dive into The Gift and Black is King next. There’s also a full documentary of the making of the album and film available online. It was so under appreciated by the public when it was released, but personally, it’s one of my favorite projects she’s ever created. Of course she was met with all sorts of vitriol and criticism from every corner of the world when it came out (not everyone has TASTE). While Lemonade was her most personal album, and I feel The Gift/Black is King is a “love letter” album. Full of celebration, and STILL ties in perfectly with the storyline of the lion king. She didn’t just make an album for a Disney movie, I can’t stress enough how much MORE it is than that. If the depth of the lemonade film gives you any indication of how many layers she creates in her albums/bodies of work, you’ll be blown away with the depth she gives in her own retelling of The Lion King.

I know you will though after watching your reaction to the video vanguard award but this is a masterpiece so I just hope you can appreciate self titled just as much <3 thank you for your amazing reactions!!
