SUPER FANS: "EVERMORE" ALBUM BONUS SONGS!

I think Right Where You Left Me is hauntingly beautiful but def is depicting someone stuck after a breakup as opposed to Time To Go where the person knows it’s time to leave. Also, in Its Time to Go; each of the situations Taylor direct relates to. The section about the sister who wasn’t refers to Karli Kloss again they were super close when Taylor had her “girl squad” and people made comments about them being twins or even soulmates and then Karli was telling Scooter Braun, later would sneakily buy her masters from Scott Borchetta, inside info about Taylor so he and Kanye and Justin Bieber could bully her. This is all here say on my part but other Swifties know more about it. However I do know that Karli showed up to the Eras tour and originally sat in general admission. Like she just bought tickets and not even floor seats and sat among fans. But Taylor and Taylor Nation (who we recently found out is Scott Swift) lol. Had security go get her and take her to VIP. So she didn’t know it but apparently Taylor squashed their beef. Also, from what I understand, a little know fact is that Taylor’s parents got divorced. They stayed together til both kids were out of the house and then did it. It had a big impression on Taylor. They stayed amicable and both stayed in Taylor’s business and life and from what I understand got back together after her mom’s cancer diagnosis. But Tay wss feeling from it. The biggest verse they is definitely directly related to her thoug is “15 years; 15 million tears begging til my knees bled. I gave it my all, he gave me nothing at all; then wondered why I left. Now he sits on his throne in his palace of bones praying to his greed… he’s got my past frozen behind glass; but I’ve got me”. Which is again talking about Scott Borchetta. She gave him 15 years of her blood sweat and tears for this and she begged to buy her masters and he sold to possibly the worst person he possibly could without even a heads up. And again, he wasn’t just her manager/label head… he was family. Most songs she’s sad and reflective about him but sometimes she’s just angry.

Taylor has said that these two bonus tracks are the two alternate endings for the album, you can either be stuck in the pain or you can decide to leave. She also uses that phrase, "he's got my past frozen behind glass" which is visually referenced in the Eras Tour during Look What You Made Me Do. It's TIme To Go references her relationship with her old label and what happened with her masters. Not all of the songs are directly autobiographical, I'm sure there is a piece of her in every song, but Tolerate It was inspired by the book Rebecca. Champagne Problems is a song she wrote with her boyfriend, Joe, they had been together 3 or 4 years at this point, and the story is 2 college sweethearts both going to a party with different plans, one with a ring and one with the plan to end it all. Champagne Problems also references mental health struggles, "this dorm is a madhouse, well I made a joke how its made for me" because mad can mean crazy. 'Tis The Damn Season and Dorthea are the same story from 2 different perspectives, the girl, Dorthea, had gone to Hollywood to make it but had left behind this small town sweetheart and they sing about the hurt they both feel but how if she decides to stay they could be together again. If you listen to the lyrics of the 7th song on both Folklore and Evermore, you will see lyrical parallels on how they start, "please picture me in the trees" and "honey when I'm above the trees". Happiness was reportedly about her best friend Abigail, who was going through a divorce and the song was only finished about a week before the release of the album. Hope these tidbits help with understanding the album!
